Tone is the cherry on your writing. Writing without tone can be dull, without color per say, but with tone the world goes round! Tone helps you put your point across easier. It gives you the sense of attitude. You can use happy, sad, serious, or playful tone when you are writing. It is like a bonus for your writing.
